Not just the death bed, but forever!

Walking around the hospital,

going about my day,

to see many in despair,

Is a bitter sight

that breaks in my day.

But it is here I saw 

what true love is,

& it is here I understood,

what the essence of love should be.

The world outside showed me otherwise,

Of fake love and heartbreaks,

Of infidelity and despair,

But the walls of the hospital showed me another world.

They saw their loved ones in pain,

They saw their better half in their last moments,

Yet they never gave up on their love.

Oh, how it shatters me,

To see such a sight,

Only if the world outside just took a pause

and viewed this sight.

I hope I see such sights,

not just beside the deathbed,

but I hope it may forever ignite.
