#HOME - A review

I have never written a movie review before but this movie caught my attention to the extremes.

#HOME, a Malayalam movie starring Sreenath Basi, Naslen, Indrans, Manju Pillai, Vijay Babu, Written & directed by Rojin Thomas and Produced by Vijay Babu, currently streaming on the OTT platform Prime Video.

This is a must-watch movie, suitable for all ages (the movie has subtitles) with a lot of twists and prolific life lessons to take on in your life. It also portrays how important your family is and how imperfect you can be at your home and still be loved.

Yes, I'm imperfect at MY HOME!!

Sreenath Basi plays Anthony Oliver Twist, a  character who is a writer and film director who had won an award on his debut movie and is now trying to do his second movie but finds it nearly impossible to finish it. The producer of the movie gives him 7 days to complete the script and tells him to write the script in the place where he formulated his first movie. He later decides to go back home where he wrote his first movie (he was staying on his own for 2 years). He does not have a friendly relationship with his father Oliver Twist who is played by Indrans. Oliver Twist is seen as a straight forwarded and optimistic father. This movie truly depicts the phrase- home is where the heart is!!
Some Elements that inspired me from this movie -

Achievements; people always consider only degrees, prizes, medals and doctorate's as achievements and they are also deemed to be extraordinary but don't consider a person's act of saving a life as an achievement "you don't have a trophy you're not extraordinary" a trophy doesn't decide whether you are extraordinary or not!!

When Oliver explains the act of saving someone's life as his greatest achievement, his son doesn't believe this up but thinks of it as a cooked up story.

We always try to show only our perfections outside and hide our imperfections.
But we show these imperfections in a place where we know that they will forgive our imperfections even if we show them outside that is our HOME.
We are very conscious about people seeing the imperfect side of ours, cause we think that they might criticise you, they might abandon you etc". This consciousness to portray ourselves as perfectionists cause us to get into nasty fights and through awful tantrums & anger at everyone within our houses, But don't you think these imperfections are the ones that make you complete.
Life is not always about perfection but we are so worried about others opinions. We are all ordinary people, we quarrel, we fight, we fail, we cry, but yet we are frightened and try to hide all these imperfections and fears within our homes. That's because the members of our home accept us for what we are.

Let the world also accept you for what you are. :)
You don't always have to portray yourself as perfect in front of this world.
